Nevada Democrats to Fox: SIT ON IT!
Nevada Democrats decided, in an unpopular, yet good faith decision to hold a Democratic Presidential debate in Reno in August moderated by Fox News.
Despite Fox's spineless attacks on anything Democratic, they still agreed to do it...until now...why?
Well, the CEO of Fox News said this;
"And it is true that Barack Obama is on the move. I don't know if it's true that President Bush called (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf and said, 'Why can't we catch this guy?' "
It sounds like a jab at the stupidity of the President, but who thinks the dude who runs Fox would make fun of Bush? Even if that was the case, Fox has had a history of attacking Obama. The endless news stories about the fact his middle is name is "Hussein," the name of an American enemy (I distinctly remember another man who hated Americans, he was a King named George,) then of course there was the wall-to-wall coverage of Obama's smoking habit, because we've never had a smoking president before, and who can forget the groundbreaking news story about Obama's education as an evil muslim fundamentalist in an Indonesian madrassa...oh wait, IT WASN'T TRUE!
Until Fox stops calling themselves Fair & Balanced and start referring to themselves as they are; America's Fascist Mouthpiece, they need not be moderating ANY political debates.
Oh, btw, here's the letter the Nevada Democrats sent Fox;

Dear Marty,
A month ago, the Nevada Democratic Party entered into a good faith agreement with FOX News to co-sponsor a presidential debate in August. This was done because the Nevada Democratic Party is reaching out to new voters and we strongly believe that a Democrat will not win Nevada unless we find new ways to talk to new people.
To say the least, this was not a popular decision. But it is one that the Democratic Party stood by. However, comments made last night by FOX News President Roger Ailes in reference to one of our presidential candidates went too far. We cannot, as good Democrats, put our party in a position to defend such comments.
In light of his comments, we have concluded that it is not possible to hold a Presidential debate that will focus on our candidates and are therefore canceling our August debate. We take no pleasure in this, but it is the only course of action.
Sincerely,
Tom Collins Chairman, Nevada State Democratic Party
Harry Reid U.S. Senator (D-NV)
Sweet!
