Pope's Easter Message: "Nothing Positive" In Iraq

In his second Easter message as head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI had harsh words for President Bush.

"Afghanistan is marked by growing unrest and instability. In the Middle East, besides some signs of hope in the dialogue between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, nothing positive comes from Iraq, torn apart by continual slaughter as the civil population flees."

It never ceases to amaze me how so-called "pious" Christians will point to his holiness when he blasts homosexuality. abortion and other social issues, but suddenly run from him when he criticizes war.

Maybe the administration to send Dick Cheney out to snarl at the Pope now. Damn pontiff, giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
