A Presidential Debate at My Alma Mater

Hofstra University, in Hempstead, New York wants to host a 2008 Presidential or Vice Presidential debate, even if it's going to cost the university a pretty penny.

Why is this so important to me? Well, if you haven't read my bio on the right, you wouldn't have known Hofstra is my alma mater. I graduated from there last May. This blog exists, in part, because of the education I received at Hofstra. My writing skills and my political knowledge (not necessarily my political leanings,) were taught to me by professors at that school.

To see a Presidential debate at my alma mater would make any alumnus or alumna of Hofstra proud.

Hofstra is no stranger to political stuff, as mentioned here;

Stuart Rabinowitz, Hofstra's president, said the school was spurred to apply by the success of its past 11 presidential conferences, the most recent held in November 2005 on Bill Clinton's presidency, at which the former president gave the keynote address

I was there for that. I still have my press credentials J
